A stack of vintage fabric that is inspiring me to create. This stack of fabric has been setting in my studio for a few days and a creative idea is tumbling in my head. This wonderful little stack of vintage fabric reminds me so much of my grandma. This is the type of fabric we would find at Newberry's Department store, in Hartford City, Indiana. Straight off the bolt and 100% cotton. The old saying “necessity is the mother of invention” describes my creative process the majority of the time. I currently have a pouch that I use to keep my cosmetics contained but it's not quite right. It needs a flat bottom and it's not big enough. So out of necessity comes my inspiration to use this stack of vintage fabrics. I'll keep you posted!
Vintage buttons will add the perfect embellishment to my delightful cosmetic bag! I probably wont use them as a clasp but simply as a vintage adornment.
